Gridview rowupdating event not firing c

This is so, because I have an xmldocument coming from a web service to create the datagrid and its columns according the structure of the xmldocument (which is dynamic). On the Row Item Created I manipulate the textbox if its in Edit Mode, and add javascript code to it, specifically an on Focus and an on Key Press event.1st ROW BEFORE JAVASCRIPT UPDATE: javascript:__do Post Back('ctl07','') In order to try and change this, I changed the Row Item Created in the Data Grid to change the URL's, but that didn't work and it set the update link with something I'm not familiar with...javascript: Web Form_Do Post B0true)) The code that I changed in the Row Item Created is the following... I am using a Template Field to display my Edit, Update and Cancel 'buttons' in the first column of the Grid View within respective Item Template and Edit Item Template fields.

I'm writing a custom control that will automatically wrap controls in an Update Panel dynamically at run-time. // You can try Auto Generating the select and delete buttons to see the grid exhibit different behaviour // too. The Sequence of firing the events of gridview when you click on edit button to update any record it calls rowediting event and after that when you click on update button it calls rowupdating event.rowediting event always invokes first then rowupdating.I'm looping because I want to find all the textboxes in the row upon Row Created, and add the javascript attributes to those textboxes.

The txt Formula is a textbox not listed here, but it's a textbox at the top of the screen, and not part of the gridview.

all of the other events are firing except the Row Updating event..
